About Me

My background is in magazine editing, but I also gained experience editing for the spoken word as a script editor for VoiceMap, a company for GPS-triggered audio tours. I have written music reviews for What’s on in Cape Town, edited One Small Seed Magazine and have produced web content, such as ‘about me’ pages and business profiles for various clients. I’ve also completed a videography course at the Cape Town School of Photography, and know my way around Adobe Premiere Pro.

Other work published includes OkayafricaAfrica is a Country, GroundUp, Live4ever Media, Beautiful Bizarre and Design Indaba.

Besides words, my other passions are music and photography.

I’m currently available for freelance writing, video editing and photography work. Email me for rates.

  1. Hi Christine, I’ve been following your writing on live4ever for some time and always enjoy reading your work. I used to play bass with with Twisted Wheel from 2010 to 2013 and came across your writing whilst with them.

I’m releasing a solo album under the name of ZX+ and was wondering if I could send you a copy when the CDs arrive. I’ve never really tried getting any press on previous releases as I generally only write and record for myself, but I thought I’d try actually selling some this time ha.

I’ve just put out a promo CD in conjunction with Fruits De Mer Records which you can listen to at my bandcamp: https://zxplus.bandcamp.com/album/the-crazies-cd-1

The album I’m releasing through my own label Play and Record Records, is called Don’t Drink The Water and will be available sometime in August.

ZX+ stands for the love of writing and recording genuine music without the aid of tuned vocals, click tracks, and all other things that take the life out of art.
